Dave Wallace, Chief Executive Officer
Dave Wallace started at Woodward Regional Hospital in August 2010 as the chief executive officer bringing with him 20 years of experience in hospital leadership.  He has as a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University in Fresno and a master’s in health administration from Ohio State University in Columbus.  Through collaboration with the medical staff, employees and community, Wallace places physician recruitment and retention as a top priority.  Working to create a culture of respect and ownership within the organization, employee and physician satisfaction improved significantly in 2011.  He believes strongly in the mission to make Woodward Regional a great place for physicians to practice medicine, employees to work and patients to receive care. 

A recipient of the Modern Healthcare/Witt-Kieffer International “Up & Comer Award”, Dave Wallace has a strong track record of success with physician recruiting, service expansion, and improving operational efficiencies.  He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.  He has led hospitals to three national Top 100 Awards and consistent annual performance awards.  Wallace and his wife Kelly have three children, Brianna, Madison and Daniel. 

Tom Earley, Chief Financial Officer
Tom Earley joined the Woodward Regional Hospital executive team in January, 2008 as chief financial officer with over 10 years of financial, operational and managerial healthcare experience.  After receiving a bachelor of science degree in Accounting from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma,  Earley joined the accounting firm of Hamilton & Associates in Oklahoma City where he achieved certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).  Additionally, Earley has earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Oklahoma State University.
Earley’s healthcare experience includes working at Foundation Surgery Affiliates in Oklahoma City, at Midwest Regional Medical Center in Midwest City, Oklahoma and at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  Originally from Oklahoma City, Earley came to Woodward from Bartow, Florida where he served as chief financial officer.  Tom and his wife, Cari, have three children.

 

Kim Arnold, Chief Quality Officer
Kim Arnold, a Woodward native, graduated from Oklahoma University with a bachelor of science in nursing.  She has been employed at WRH since 1995 working as a licensed practical nurse and later as a registered nurse on the medical/surgical floor, emergency department, skilled nursing unit and obstetrical unit. 

In her present role, Arnold leads the hospital’s quality processes in partnership with the medical staff.  She focuses on coordinating physician and staff involvement in quality measures and oversees the accreditation process.  She also focuses on improving processes in the hospital and achieving core measure initiatives.  She and her husband Rocky have two daughters, Ashton and Erica. 

 

John Brown, Facilities Director and Compliance Officer
John Brown has served in multiple capacities during his nearly 30 year career at Woodward Regional Hospital.  With a bachelor’s degree in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Medical Technology, Brown is also a registered Medical Technologist (MT –ASCP).  After serving as the Laboratory Director for 10 years, his experience has allowed him to also work as the Clinical Services Director and the Chief Operating Officer at Woodward Regional Hospital.  As Facilities Director and Compliance Officer,. Brown is responsible for facilities management, life safety and regulatory compliance.

Brown is active in community and civic activities and is married to Debra, a second grade teacher in Woodward Public Schools.  John and Debra have two children, Julie and Jamin, as well as a new grandson, Mason.

 

Melinda Brock, Human Resources Director
Melinda Brock, a registered dietician who has worked at Woodward Regional for 13 years, recently expanded her role by becoming director of Human Resources.  She was awarded Nonclinical Manager of the Year for 2010 and that same year was recognized with the  Firestarter Award on a national level.   In addition to her duties in dietary and human resources, she is also the Community Cares Champion for the hospital.  Brock’s passion for building teamwork and developing a positive attitude throughout the organization is evident in her job every day. 

Brock holds a Master’s Degree from Oklahoma State University and has worked at WRH for 13 years.  When not working, she spends time with her family attending OSU football games with husband Aaron and taking daughters Megan and Allison to dance competitions across the United States. 

 

Lori Messenger, Marketing Director
Lori Messenger began working at Woodward Regional Hospital 17 years ago as a case manager and later director of the Generations Unit.  Three years ago she transitioned to marketing where she serves as the hospital’s spokesperson and media liaison.  She implements marketing plans and combines advertising and editorial strategies to promote the hospital’s services and physicians.  She is the Senior Circle coordinator, co-facilitates Healthy Woman and is the director of hospital volunteers.

Messenger holds a bachelor of science in psychology from Oklahoma State University and a master’s degree in applied psychology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.  Messenger and her husband Mark are active in the farming and cattle business and enjoy traveling to junior high and high school rodeos with Dax, Madelyn, Jaco and Drew.  Their oldest daughter, Ellen, is a sophomore in college.

 

Riley Fanning, Physician Practice Manager
Riley Fanning, a Woodward native, earned a bachelor of science in health promotion from Oklahoma State University and is an outstanding Veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served in Operation Iraqi Freedom from February 2007 until March 2008.  He also served in the Reserves from 2001 until 2009.  Fanning is currently working on a master’s degree in health administration at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. 

Fanning started working as the physician practice manager in 2011.  He coordinates services for the Woodward Clinics physicians and staff and helps recruit new physicians to Woodward.  Fanning is credited with growing clinic volume, implementing centralized scheduling and extended hours. He and his wife Ashley have one child, Hallie Grace.
