Oklahoma healthcare executive David (Dave) Wallace will bring a wealth of hospital administrative experience when he assumes the chief executive officer role at Woodward Regional Hospital on August 16.
A recipient of the Modern Healthcare/Witt-Kieffer International “Up & Comer Award”, Wallace has a strong track record of success with physician recruiting, service expansion, and improving operational efficiencies. He has led hospitals to three national Top 100 and consistent annual performance awards.
Wallace was most recently chief operations officer for the 148-bed Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant, Oklahoma, where he led outpatient services, physician recruitment, service excellence initiatives and managed multiple construction projects. Previously, he was CEO at Brown County Regional Healthcare in Georgetown, Ohio and assistant administrator at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
“I look forward to working with Woodward’s outstanding physicians and employees,” said Wallace. “They’ve created a culture centered on quality and patient satisfaction, and the opportunity to lead a team with such passion for providing exceptional care is inspiring.”
“Dave’s management expertise and work with doctors, employees and communities will be a good fit for the hospital and community,” said Roscoe Hill, chairman of the hospital’s board of trustees. “We look forward to working with him to continue the progress we’re making at Woodward Regional.”
Wallace has a master’s in health administration, and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Wallace, his wife Kelly and their three children are enthusiastic about becoming part of the Woodward community. “Of all the places we’ve looked, Woodward and the hospital fit everything we wanted.”
Details about a community reception for Dave and the newest members of our Medical Staff (John Sutton, M.D., Larry Balzer, M.D. and LouAnn Martin, NP) will be announced once plans are finalized.
