The Occupational Therapy Department provides occupational therapy treatment to the following patient care areas: · Acute Care Inpatients · Skilled Nursing Patients · Generations Patients · Outpatients · Home Health Patients
Acute care, Skilled Nursing, and Generations patients are treated on their respective hospital floors and hospital rooms. Outpatients are treated in the outpatient facility located in the lower level of the hospital. OT maintains a treatment room on the Skilled Nursing unit in cooperation with the Physical Therapy Department.
The Department is equipped with various assistive devices and equipment is available to all patient populations with the exception of Home Health patients. Adaptive equipment is, at times, taken to the home for training purposes.
The OT Department conducts post-offer employment assessments through the WorkSTEPS Program, which is comprised of work site analysis, neuromuscular evaluation, static lifting, dynamic lifting and job specific training. | |
