"Benefits Partners" Flexible Benefits
   
The benefit plans that are covered by the "Benefits Partners" Flexible Benefits are as follows:

Woodward Regional Hospital provides a wide range of employee benefits. We recognize that we have a diverse group of employees and everyone's benefit needs are not the same. As an employee of WRH, you receive Personal Benefit Dollars to spend on our benefits. These dollars are provided at no cost to you.

Our "Benefits Partners" program gives you the power to put your Personal Benefit Dollars in areas that give you the most value. As your needs change, you can respond to new circumstances by making the choices that are right for you. You are eligible for the flexible benefits program after three months of employment.


Employee Medical Plan
We provide a comprehensive major-medical health insurance product for our full-time and eligible employees. Our coverage options include individual, you & children, you & spouse, you & family, or no coverage. You may decline coverage and receive a portion of your Personal Benefit Dollars instead.

Dental Plan
Our dental coverage includes Diagnostic and Preventative, Basic, Major and Orthodontia services. coverage options are identical to the Employee Medical Plan.

Life Insurance/Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Plan
To help ensure the financial security of those who depend upon you, we offer several options in individual coverage ranging from a "core" coverage amount to core plus five times your annual pay.

Dependent Life Insurance
We have three life insurance options available for your eligible dependents: no coverage, $5,000 coverage for each dependent, or $10,000 coverage for each dependent.

Voluntary Accidental Death and Dismemberment Benefits
This allows the option of providing AD&D coverage for your dependents as well as supplemental insurance for yourself.

Long-Term Disability
"Benefits Partners" provides options for financial protection for you and your family in case of serious illness or accidental injury. As a means of providing a regular income, you may elect coverage of either 50% or 60% of your pay or you may elect no coverage.

Flexible Spending Account Plan
With a flexible spending account, you have additional tax savings opportunities. This plan allows you to reimburse yourself for routine health care and dependent day care expenses with tax-free dollars. This benefit equates to a significant discount on your expenses - anywhere from 26% to 43% depending on your tax bracket.

401(K) with Employer Matching Dollars
We maintain an excellent retirement program for eligible employees. Our 401(K) plan allows you to set aside a portion of your pay each pay period in convenient pre-tax payroll deductions. It also lets you enjoy discretionary basic contributions us as well as discretionary matching contributions from us based on the amount you save. It gives you investment options, so you can select the investment strategy that makes the most sense for you and the flexibility to change how you save and invest your money quarterly. You become eligible to participate in the plan after three months of employment if you are at least age 21.

Work and Family Benefits

In addition to the plans outlined above, Woodward Regional Hospital offers additional benefits programs, including the following:

Adoption Benefit
Adopting a child can be extremely expensive. To assist in this process, $1,500 is available toward the legal, medical and travel fees associated with adopting a child.

Cafeteria
Employee discounts on most cafeteria and health club restaurant purchases are available immediately upon employment.

Banking
An Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) is available in the Cafeteria. Special group banking discounts are also available including revolving credit, installment loan discounts, free checking services, mortgage service discounts, and investment discounts.

Credit Union
Woodward Regional Hospital is a member of the Health Organization Credit Union which offers financial services to our employees. Payroll deductions may be made by employees to deposit funds into a checking account, savings account, and/or to make loan payments.

Direct Deposit
Your paycheck may be deposited directly into your checking and/or savings account if you choose.

Employee Assistance Plan
Free referral, assessment and counseling services are available for you and your immediate family members for up to six visits per year. This benefit is available immediately upon employment.

Shift Differentials
Shift differentials are paid for night, weekend and holidays according to job classifications.

Extended Illness Time
As an additional benefit, we also provide a Sick Time Plan that was established for physical illnesses or temporary disabilities.

Continuing Education
Programs are available in many areas. Most offer certified CPE/CPU credit hours to meet various requirements. This benefit is available immediately upon employment.

Gift Shop
The convenience of payroll deduction adds to the beauty of our hospital gift shop, open five days per week for shopping needs.

Paid Time Off (PTO)
Rather than providing employees a specific number of vacation days, holidays and six days, WRH uses an innovative, all encompassing Paid Time Off system. This approach provides for the creation of a "PTO" account for each eligible employee into which the Hospital places accrual hours each pay period. Payment for any time off is made to you from your "PTO" account. The rate at which you accumulate funds in your account is determined by your years of service with the Hospital.

Tuition Assistance
We believe continuing education is important and this benefit is designed to accommodate employees who want to go back to school and obtain additional academic credentials.

Worker's Compensation
Medical care and partial replacement of wages for on-the-job injuries are available through Worker's Compensation insurance. This benefit is paid entirely by the Hospital and is available to you immediately upon becoming an employee.

Social Security
Contributions to Social Security are paid by both Demonstration Hospital and you.
